Wanted to add that I will begin teaching again shortly, and look forward to working with people who have felt limited due to accidents, poor health or just generally being out of shape. My classes are for beginners and are very gentle and build strength and energy slowly. Included in the classes are breathing techniques for relaxation and handouts so you can practice the poses at home. The yoga uses affirmations to help the mind focus on positive thoughts and to get the most benefit from the poses. Go to Yoga page for more about gentle yoga and ideas for you.

I just returned from yoga training and am excited to begin teaching again. I did not realize how much my own body had strengthened and healed having practiced yoga for the past 10 days regularly. I did not do much yoga, only about 10 minutes a day of stretches and a few poses. Even with this limited practice, when I sat in on the teacher training I had taken 10 years ago, I was awed and delighted to notice all of the poses I could do that were not even possible when I began. A true testimonial to the power of yoga and how much the body loves being stretched.
